The Cheat Valley is a canoeing experience the whole family won’t soon forget. With its towering cliffs and rolling pastoral setting, the Cheat Valley travels north for over 35 miles, setting the stage for great day and over night family float trips. Our trips are excellent for people with little or no experience in a canoe. From our river outpost we sill shuttle you upstream, and give you instructions on how to safely travel downstream. The Cheat River is a great place to fish for small mouth bass and trout or to search for fossils and offers many rocky beaches for picnics, sun bathing and swimming. Your trip may include sightings of eagles, Canadian Geese, black bear or deer grazing along the riverbank. Bring along your fishing pole and a picnic lunch (hat and sunscreen too)!
Shuttle times are offered daily at 11 am, 1 pm or 3pm, reservations are suggested.
We also offer shuttle service to private boaters – please call for prices.
